1       Teacher / Class arrangements

1.1       Wiseland Elite Learning Centre (Wiseland) shall endeavor to provide classes at an age and ability appropriate level, with a regular teacher per class.

1.2       Wiseland reserves the right to re-assign teachers, classrooms, and time of the courses where necessary.

1.3       No classes will be held on Public Holidays.  

1.4       The default class size is one teacher per two to five students for an hourly class. When class size falls to one teacher per student (usually a temporary arrangement only), class time will be 45 minutes.

1.5       Parents / guardians must notify Wiseland not less than 24 hours in advance of any anticipated absence. Make-up classes will only be provided on an as available basis.

1.6       A maximum of one make-up class will be allowed within any 2 calendar months period. Make-up class must be scheduled within 1 month of the date of absence.

1.7       Make-up class quota does not carry-over to the next fee period.

1.8       No make-up classes will be accommodated for students that do not show up in scheduled classes without 24 hours of prior notice. Medical exceptions can be made with the presentation of a doctor’s certificate.

1.9       Teachers of make-up classes will be arranged based on availability of teacher and time.

 

2       Arrival and dismissal

2.1       Students should arrive 5-10 minutes early for classes and will only be dismissed at the end of the lessons.

2.2       Please be punctual to pick up students at the end of each lesson.

 

3       Students behaviour

3.1       Our teacher and staff will demonstrate professional behaviour towards students and parents at all times.

3.2       Students are expected to be courteous and respectful, towards fellow students, our teachers and staff, at all time.

3.3    Parent / guardian will be contacted immediately if students are dismissed from a class for the display of continuous disrespectful, discourteous or disruptive behaviour.

3.4       There will be no refund for classes when students are dismissed due to disrespectful, discourteous or disruptive behaviour.

3.5     Students who are repeated dismissed for disrespectful, discourteous or disruptive behaviour may not be readmitted in to any of Wiseland’s programmes.

 

4       Courses

4.1       Course fees can be paid in cash / cheque.

4.2       Course fees must be paid before classes begin, at the time of enrolment or at the end of each fee-period for the next.

4.3      No partial payments are allowed except the first enrolment in the event that a student joins the program in the middle of the month, where fees are charged on a pro-rata basis.

4.4       Course fees are calculated based on number of hourly classes in each month.

4.5       Enrolment receipts should be kept for the fee-period for verification purposes.

 

5       Inclement weather arrangements

5.1       All scheduled classes between 09:00 -14:00 will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No.8, Red Rainstorm Signal or above is in effect at 08:00.

5.2     All scheduled classes between 14:00 – 19:00 will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No.8, Red Rainstorm Signal or above is in effect  at 12:30.

5.3       All scheduled classes will carry through until the end if Typhoon Signal No.8, Red Rainstorm Signal or above is hoisted during a class. We will ensure that all students will be collected before closing.

5.4       All cancelled regular classes due to weather conditions will be rescheduled to the following week.

 

6       Personal data (privacy)

6.1       For the provision of educational services, products and facilities, we may collect the personal data of the students and their guardians / parents.  The data including full name, date of birth, correspondence address and/or residential address, email addresses, telephone numbers, Hong Kong Identity Card Number or travel document number, school name, school level, health status and any information related for courses enrolment. Those who are under the age of 18 must obtain permission from their parents or legal guardians before providing any personal data to us.

6.2       Photographs and videos of our activities may be taken for archiving, training and/or marketing purposes.  The marketing media include our websites, social media, printed promotional materials and press release. Parents who accept this clause may request copies of photos and videos of their own children.

6.3       When you browse our website, your visit may be recorded for analysis on visitor flow and general usage patterns analysis. Some of this information that is automatically stored in your computer hard drive which can be retrieved by our website.

6.4       The purposes of use of personal data collected may include the following:

6.4.1    Assessing the merits and suitability of students as actual or potential applicants for educational services, products and facilities;

6.4.2    Conducting statistical and data analysis;

6.4.3    Communicating with students and/or their authorized;

6.4.4    Researching and/or designing and/or implementing education related services, products and facilities;

6.4.5    Marketing services, products, and other subjects;

6.4.6    Performing investigation or inquiry of any illegal conduct;

6.4.7    Complying with obligations, requirements, arrangements or procedures that apply to Wiseland or that it is expected to comply according to:

6.4.7.1    Any law binding or applying to it within the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”) existing currently and in the future;

6.4.7.2    Any guidelines or guidance given or issued by any legal, regulatory, governmental , tax, law enforcement or other authorities, or self-regulatory or industry bodies within Hong Kong existing currently and in the future; and

6.4.7.3    Any contractual obligations or other commitment applying to it under any contractual agreement Wiseland has with its agent, representative, contractor, business partner or other third party which Wiseland has entered into a contractual relationship with;

6.5       Transfer of personal data collected: Personal data held by Wiseland will be kept confidential but Wiseland may provide and disclose such personal data to any agent, contractor, business partner or other third party which Wiseland works together with in its provision of such service, product or facility, wherever situated and any party to whom Wiseland is under an obligation or otherwise required to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding or applying to it within or outside Hong Kong, or any disclosure under and for the purposes of any guidelines of guidance given or issued by any legal, regulatory, governmental, tax, law enforcement, or other authorities, or self-regulatory or industry bodies with which Wiseland is expected to comply, or any disclosure pursuant to any contractual or other commitment of Wiseland, all of which are within Hong Kong and may be existing currently and in the future.

6.6     Direct Marketing: Wiseland intends to use your data in direct marketing and promoting Wiseland’s and co-branding partners of Wiseland’s education related services, products and facilities. Wiseland requires your consent, which includes an indication of acceptance, for that purposes.
